Avioflex is designed as a signage typeface for the Dutch Aviation Museum ‘Aviodrome’. In 2003 the museum moved from Schiphol Airport to a newly built location near Lelystad. For their new corporate identity Flex was chosen as the corporate typeface.

For use in (very) large sizes on signs, walls and the exterior of the hangar this special version was developed. To enhance the connection with the world of flying – drawing inspiration from lettering on runways and airoplanes for instance – this version of Flex is slightly more industrial looking with a lower contrast.
